For a brief we were given a code for a book in the library, my book was A Short History Of Church Music. When I first got the book, I saw it, without knowing the title and new instantly it was going to be a boring read. I was correct. So my interpretation of this book is to show how its okay not wanting to read a book because it looks boring, most likely, it will be.
Part of my motion video project. Distorted video of cups using clear air bag and different focus.
Clip from a current project I am doing. Indian ink and water stop motion.
I was asked to do something I’ve never done before as part of uni project to which I had to create a 90 second motion video showing my experience. I chose to go somewhere where I’ve never been before, or even heard about. I decided to go to Western-super-Mere in Somerset. It was ideal being close to Bristol as I’m only a student and had only two weeks to do this. I really enjoyed my time there. It was like no sea-side I’ve ever been before and the arcade was incredible. I wanted to do everything there, and I got to have a doughnut. I chose the Kook’s the seaside because I felt I fell in love with the seaside there. I will most definately be going there again soon after my exams are over. It’s just beautiful there, completely different to Blackpool and Southport.

So after seeing Josh’s caterpillar, I really couldn’t think of what to do. I started to search caterpillars on the internet. I then came across an old childrens book, ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. This made me want to recreate the front cover of what I think of caterpillars. I find them quite scary so I used ink on a damp paper to create these loose, eerie drawings and mark makings. I tried drawing a caterpillar, however it was unsuccessful. So I decided to use Josh’s caterpillar, it’s scary enough in my opinion to use.
